The goal of ObjectRiver’s professional services group is to help our customers and partners achieve success building Master Data Management systems.

We are looking for Java development customers who have an existing data model, even if it is already centralized in a read-only warehouse, data mart, or operational data store. Once we have your model, we can generate a complete Master Data Management system that will allow you to start loading data and writing business applications immediately. We can effectively put you one year into the future of a project that would have been deemed impossible. Modeling activities are low risk, and can be done without any programming, prototypes, or pilot projects.

Modeling is a key part of ObjectRiver’s technology offering, and it sometimes plays a part in customer sales and partner proposals. Modeling is done with the customer’s domain expert and the enterprise data architect. The process involves building a master model describing the information contained in remote data silos. The result of the modeling process is an easy-to-read, system-wide data dictionary that may be reviewed by participating departments for accuracy and content. The modeling process is a way of proving the problem can be solved and guaranteeing the success of the solution.

ObjectRiver offers a one week in-depth training course. The course is usually given quarterly for partners, and can be given on site for large end users. The material is for hands-on programmers, and covers all aspects of the product including modeling, object mapping, transactions, business events, downstream processes, and compiler templates.

A big part of our professional services comes from being team members on enterprise projects. Our consultants work with the database or the services development teams on a project. ObjectRiver is not an integrator, and chooses to work with integrators on large projects.
